Literature Screening Process
The literature screening process is described in the diagram below:

The screening process begins with reading the title and abstract of each record. Literature not relevant to the clinical evaluation scope will be directly excluded with a stated reason. If the title and abstract indicate that the content may be relevant to the subject device and/or comparator device, as well as the state of the art (applicable for EU MDR), the full text will be retrieved and assessed in detail according to the "Suitability and Contribution Assessment Criteria."
Literature deemed relevant and usable will be included in the clinical evaluation; otherwise it will be excluded with a stated reason.
Both the title/abstract screening and the subsequent full-text review can be assisted by AI tools, which can significantly reduce the time required for literature selection and improve the accuracy of data extraction.
